“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” This quote from Nelson Mandela serves as a guiding principle for the actions of Semlex For Education.

With the support of Semlex Ivory Coast, Semlex For Education has brought to life a major new initiative in favor of digital education in Ivory Coast. On Friday, May 16, 2025, a fully equipped computer room was inaugurated at the Collège Moderne COOPAGA in Gabiadji, located in the San-Pédro region.

This initiative was launched in response to a request made by the school itself. Indeed, Semlex Ivory Coast – responsible for deploying technical solutions for identification and civil registration – chose to go beyond its core mission by investing in youth and knowledge. Led by its Administrative and Financial Director, and with the strong support of its General Director, Stanislas Le Page, a delegation from the company traveled to Gabiadji to officially hand over the keys to the new digital facility.

The inauguration ceremony brought together numerous local authorities: the sub-prefect, traditional leaders, representatives from the regional education system, as well as leaders from the Gabiadji Agricultural Cooperative (COOPAGA), the founding body of the school. The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Kouamé Bernard – who also serves as the First Vice President of the San-Pédro Regional Council – praised the initiative, which he had personally advocated for with Semlex For Education.

For students and teachers alike, this new infrastructure marks a significant turning point. Equipped with modern IT equipment, it now provides young people with direct access to the digital tools essential for their learning. It will not only strengthen their technical skills but also spark their curiosity for the careers of the future.

This gesture is part of Semlex For Education’s broader commitment to reducing disparities in access to technology and supporting schools—particularly in rural areas. Through tangible projects like this one, Semlex is working toward inclusive, equitable education that meets the challenges of the 21st century.
