Collectif Désistance

Semlex For Education supports Collectif Désistance, a Brussels-based non-profit organization that facilitates the social and professional reintegration of young prisoners and former inmates aged 18 to 30. By focusing on the concept of desistance – the process of moving away from delinquency – the organization helps these young people rebuild their lives and avoid reoffending by offering them concrete perspectives and alternatives.

Through personalized support during and after detention, Collectif Désistance guides these young individuals in defining their personal and professional projects, thus promoting their long-term inclusion in society. The association’s educational and restorative approach encourages resilience and recognizes each person’s potential for personal and social reconstruction.

By supporting this initiative, Semlex For Education contributes to the launch of a reception center dedicated to continuous support for young people, from their release from detention to their successful integration into training, employment, or other life projects.
